Non‐linear multivariable permanent magnet synchronous machine control: A robust non‐linear generalized predictive controller approach

Permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSM) have become prevalent in industry and play an essential role managing industrial processes, automation systems, renewable energy sources due to their superior efficiency, torque, power density. However, because it operates like a non-linear system with quick dynamics, variable parameters during operation, unknown disturbances, PMSM presents challenges for machine control. Non-linear controls are required account the non-linearities of permanent machine. Recently, predictive control techniques multi-variable systems gained popularity. In this work, novel approach robust generalized (RNGPC) has been developed PMSM, aim tracking reference speed while maintaining minimum reactive power, robustness external parameter uncertainties. A new finite horizon cost function is integrated, integral action introduced law. The main advantage technique that does not require measurement observation disturbance as well parametric strategy method tested MATLAB/Simulink environment various operating conditions. results showed good against changes ensured fast convergence.
